My name is Laura Chick (no, really) and it's nice to meet you.
Currently, I'm twenty-three years old. I live in Washington state with my husband, who is a twenty-four year old software developer, and my two cats, Bruce Lee and Jessica Alba, who are both four years old.
As of the end of Winter Quarter 2012, I will graduate with Bachelor's Degree in Psychology (with honors!) Following that, I hope to spend a couple of years as part of the workforce, write novels and music, work on independent video games, and eventually pursue graduate studies with a research and statistical methods focus. When I'm not doing schoolwork, I moderate PNWBemani.net and run dance game tournaments for the local community. I'm also the Arcade Coordinator for Sakuracon.
I like to sing. This can mean anything from belting showtunes to recording a Happy Hardcore cover of Ke$ha's Tik Tok.
I like to travel. I have a long-standing goal of walking around every major metropolitan core in the United States, and when I meet it, I will probably extend my reach to Canada, and who knows where after that. So far, I have walked around Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Austin, Honolulu, Las Vegas, and New York City.
I consider myself to be a pretty nice, approachable person; taking that into consideration, if you happen to think something here is super cool, please don't hesitate to comment, shoot me an e-mail, etc. I have had a couple of writers respond to me when I wrote them fan letters, and it pretty much made my day, week, and even month. If I can make somebody else feel even a fraction of a percent as awesome by responding to them, I will do so gladly. If you want to tell me I suck, that's fine too - as long as you can do so in a manner that is free of logical fallacies and exclamation marks.
I am not currently a politician in the state of California, nor have I ever been. Please don't ask me where your money's going. ;)
